Sample Day
Daily Schedules vary a bit from room to room, but generally, a day proceeds as follows:
| 9:00-9:15 | Arrival, Greetings, Informal conversation. |
| 9:15-10:00 | Discovery time: Free choice among a variety of activities in the learning centers: literacy, reading, writing/listening, manipulatives, dramatic, cooking, science, sand/water, music, etc. |
| 10:00-10:20 | Clean up and Snack. |
| 10:20-10:45 | Circle time with music, stories and games to introduce the theme and its concepts. |
| 10:45-11:30 | Project and Activity Time: opportunities for children to create projects and further explore the theme while sharpening specific skills. |
| 11:30-12:00 | Gross Motor Activity: Indoor Sensory Gym and weather permitting outdoor park play |
| 12:00- 12:30 | Washing hands, Lunch and Conversation. |
| 12:30-12:45 | Story time |
| 12:45-2:00 | Rest time/Quiet time |
| 2:00-2:15 | Snack time |
| 2:15-2:40 | Music/Movement/Creative Dramatics |
| 2:40-3:00 | Closing Circle. Preparation for dismissal and greeting parents. |
